Google Business Profile management in Switzerland: DIY, software or agency? 2026 comparison

5 min readUpdated Cédric Lauber, Nora41

There are three ways to manage a Google Business Profile: do it yourself (free, but 15 to 20 hours up front), use software (from about USD 30–40 a month, you do the work) or hire a provider who does it for you. Here is what the main options in Switzerland offer, according to their public pages checked on 23 October 2026, and how to choose for your situation.

Option 1: do it yourself

Everything you need is free, and our guides cover every step: optimize your profile, get reviews, respond to reviews, local SEO in Switzerland.

Option 2: data distribution (localsearch)

localsearch, which runs local.ch and search.ch, offers SWISS LIST to publish your details on several platforms at once. Useful for consistent details; according to the public page, the offer doesn’t mention review management.

Option 3: software (Localo, BrightLocal)

These tools automate part of the work: rank tracking, posts, review alerts, audits. You stay in charge and do the work yourself. BrightLocal also offers a managed service at a much higher price.

Option 4: a platform for chains (Partoo)

Partoo mainly targets brands with many locations, on request.

Option 5: a provider who does it for you (Nora41)

Nora41 fixes your profile for you: categories, description, services, photos, hours, review request setup, reply templates, then a before/after report. The price comes as an instant quote after the free check, which first measures your position and the gaps with competitors.

Questions to ask any provider

  1. Will I remain the owner of my profile? (The answer must be yes: the provider is a manager.)
  2. What exactly is included?
  3. How are reviews obtained? (Never bought, never rewarded.)
  4. Is there a minimum term?
  5. Do you promise a position? (If yes, be careful: Google states you can’t pay for a better ranking.)
  6. How do you measure results?

Frequently asked questions

Can a provider guarantee first place?

No. Google states you can’t pay for a better local ranking. Be wary of any ranking guarantee.

Do I have to give the agency my Google password?

No. Add them as a manager in the profile settings; you stay the owner and can remove access at any time.

Is software enough?

Software helps you track and automate, but the work on the profile (categories, photos, reviews, replies) is still yours.

Are the prices up to date?

They were collected on 23 October 2026 from the public pages cited. Offers change: check each website before deciding.

Can I start on my own and delegate later?

Yes. Everything you do on the profile stays; a provider builds on it.
